Whispering Wall.

The Barossa Reservoir is located a short distance from Gawler South Australia towards Mannum. The reservoir was built between 1899 and 1903 to supply the township of Gawler with water.

Once the wall was completed, it was then realized that if you were to stand at one end of the wall, you could then talk to someone at the other end as if they were standing along side of you.

This photo is taken from the western end of the wall while the very top photo was taken from the eastern end. The centre photo was taken looking across the southern side of the wall while standing towards the eastern side.
